According to Przeglad Sportowy, Celtic manager Martin O'Neill wants to sign a contract with Legia goalkeeper Artur Boruc. Poland's representative would appear at Celtic Park already in June this year. Yesterday the Scottish press informed that Celtic chairman Brian Quinn has already seen Boruc's dossier and is delighted with the Polish goalie.
- The talks are advanced. We contacted O'Neill through the English management agency. We exchanged the first documents. Artur is interested in this transfer. But we still have to discuss the price. The Scots have to come to an agreement with Legia and pay about one million Euro - said Boruc's manager Radosław Osuch According to two Scottish journalists, Boruc is Celtic's number one target. Following the current season, the only goalkeeper to stay at Celtic Park will be 21-year-old David Marshall with whom Boruc would compete for the position. As a more experinced player, the Polish goalkeeper would have the chance to become a winner. Artur Boruc would be the third Polish player in Celtic Glasgow, after Dariusz Dziekanowski and Dariusz Wdowczyk, both of whom moved to Scotland from Legia Warszawa.
