On a snow-covered pitch Legia defeated Pogon Szczecin 3:0 in the first match of the spring season, proving that they are still in hunt for the Polish Championship. The first half of the game looked more like a warm-up to actual play as both teams tried to adjust themselves to very difficult weather conditions. But from the beginning of the second period, Legia seized the initiative providing nine thousand spectators gathered at the stadium with an excellent show. Scoring was opened by <b>Marek Saganowski</b> who on 48 minutes defeated Pogon goalkeeper <b>Boris Peskovic</b>. On 70 minutes <b>Aleksandar Vukovic</b> gave a wonderful pass to <b>Piotr Wlodarczyk</b> who doubled the score. Five minutes later <b>Tomasz Kielbowicz</b> sealed the result with a stunning free kick.
